Terms of Service

EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 7, 2026CASTABLE, INC.privacy@castable.io

These terms govern your use of Castable at castable.io. In short: you own your designs and the CAD Castable builds for you, Castable never trains on them, and you still verify every number with your caster before anything hits the casting floor.

01Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Service form a contract between you and Castable, Inc. (“Castable”). When you sign in to or use the service at castable.io, you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use Castable.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and in every case at least 13. Castable does not intend the service for children under 13. If you use Castable on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind that company, and “you” includes it.

02Accounts

You sign in with a Google account through Firebase Authentication. You keep your Google credentials secure, and you are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell privacy@castable.io at once if you suspect someone else is using it. Castable may suspend an account that shows signs of compromise.

03The closed beta

The studio agent runs as a closed beta. Castable may add, change, limit, or remove features, adjust usage limits, and invite or remove beta participants at any time. Castable may introduce pricing for the service later and will tell you before it charges you anything. Do not rely on a beta feature staying as it is today.

04Your content and the license you grant

You own what you bring and what Castable makes for you: your sketches, photos, and descriptions, and the CAD files, renders, and validation reports Castable generates from them (together, “your content”).

You grant Castable, Inc. a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, copy, process, transmit, and display your content solely to provide the service to you, to keep the service secure, and to comply with the law. This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except where Castable must keep a copy to meet a legal obligation.

You confirm that you hold the rights to everything you upload and that it does not infringe anyone else’s intellectual property or other rights.

05Castable does not train on your designs

Castable does not train machine learning models on your designs, descriptions, or reports. To interpret your sketch and generate CAD, Castable sends your images and descriptions to Anthropic’s Claude API; Anthropic does not use API inputs to train its models. A Castable engineer may inspect your content by hand to fix a bug or to answer your support request, and for no other purpose.

06Acceptable use

Do not use Castable to:

  • Upload content that is unlawful, that you have no right to use, or that infringes someone else’s intellectual property.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or probe the service, its CAD kernel, or its validator, or try to extract the models and prompts behind them.
  • Send abusive load, automated bulk requests, or anything designed to degrade the service for other users.
  • Share your account, resell access, or bypass usage limits.
  • Break any law or help someone else break one.

Castable may remove content or suspend accounts that violate this section.

07Outputs are guidance, and no warranty

Castable builds CAD from a sketch and a description, then measures the geometry it built. It does not measure the piece your caster will pour. Every output, including wall thicknesses, prong bases, seat clearances, shrink compensation, and any PASS or FAIL verdict, is guidance. You must verify manufacturability with your own caster and your own tooling before you cast, print, or sell anything based on Castable’s output.

Castable provides the service “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Castable does not promise that an output will cast cleanly, hold a stone, match your intent, or stay available without interruption.

08Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Castable, Inc. and its officers, employees, and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost metal, lost stones, scrapped castings, or lost data, arising from the service or these terms.

Castable’s total liability for all claims arising from the service is capped at the greater of the fees you paid Castable in the 12 months before the claim or USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; there, Castable limits its liability as far as the law permits.

09Termination

You can stop using Castable at any time and ask privacy@castable.io to delete your account. Castable may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if Castable ends the beta or the service, and gives reasonable notice where it can. Sections 04, 05, 07, 08, and 11 survive termination.

10Changes to these terms

Castable may change these terms. It posts the new version at castable.io/terms with a new effective date and, for material changes, notifies signed-in users by email or in the workbench at least 14 days before the change takes effect. If you keep using Castable after that date, you accept the new terms.

11Governing law

The laws of the State of Delaware, USA, govern these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You and Castable agree that the state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from the service or these terms. Before either side files, you agree to email privacy@castable.io and try to resolve the dispute informally.

12General terms and contact

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Castable about the service. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stands. If Castable does not enforce a term today, it can still enforce it later. You may not assign these terms; Castable may assign them to a successor of the business.

Send questions and legal notices to privacy@castable.io.
